this isn't writing coaching. i won't teach you hooks, or 10k followers, or $10k a month. there are many good teachers for that. i'm not one of them.
i did zero social media. none. everywhere you look now it's digital writing - short-form, linkedin, hooks, threads. real craft, and real teachers for it. this is different.
it seems writing got reduced to money, metrics, and more things to measure - and it leaves you even more tired of being online. everyone writing, talking about the same thing.
i do the other thing. the true thing. i just... write. write - to be here now.
i never took a writing class. no english degree. i only ever wrote for myself.
not to be good - to capture the beauty, the depth, the gravity of a moment. to say what's true. what's real. and what's real for me.
that's the whole thing: this isn't a craft i was trained in. it's full self-expression - the whole of who you are, on the page. it's all i ever did, for years - and my first book somehow won not just one but multiple awards.
because words matter. it's the feeling. that's literally why it won - without me ever being a "professional" writer.
a gift, more than a skill. and it grows as you grow - because it's the expression of who you are.
and i know what you're thinking. gift doesn't mean special, or only for one person. it means simply sitting with what is. because everyone has full self-expression - it's just a matter of releasing it. tapping in. tuning in. turning it on. and letting it out - on the page, in your art, in your life.
